The (R)Age Blind Spot
Our first policy paper has been published as part of dist[ex] – Development of a Network for Disengagement and Exit work.
In ‘The (R)Age Blind Spot’, we show that people in the second half of their lives can also turn to anti-democratic milieus or consolidate extremist worldviews. This development can have an impact on teenagers and young adults who are in contact with radicalised older people in their family or social environment.
We draw attention to this previously overlooked gap and formulate concrete demands on politicians to strengthen prevention and disengagement work in this area in the long term.
